Plans & access

Free to read. Yours to support.

Belgium Impulse exists to serve the Belgian reader — locals, expats and visitors — across language lines, with the historical and geopolitical context most outlets leave out. The newsroom is free at the point of read. Reader support, transparent partnerships and a small set of carefully chosen sponsors keep it that way.

Reader
Free, always
No paywall. Ever.

Every article. Every dossier. Every language. The whole newsroom, paywall-free.

  • Full access to /news, /dossiers, /knowledge, /whats-on, /dining, /jobs, /expat.
  • EN · FR · NL · ES — same article, same order, same quality.
  • Maximum historical & geopolitical context on every story.
Free at the point of read is a permanent commitment, not a launch promotion.

Sponsors · embassies · institutions · employers

Underwrite a vertical, sponsor a dossier, or post a featured Belgian role.

  • Vertical sponsorship — name on /whats-on, /dining, /jobs or /expat.
  • Sponsored dossiers — clearly labelled, never editorial, with full transparency.
  • Featured employer listings on /jobs with a verified employer profile.
  • Newsletter sponsorship slots — weekly Belgium digest, expat brief.
Editorial & commercial are separate. Publish-validation checks apply equally to sponsored content.
Why free at the point of read

A paywall is a wall.

Belgium is small, multilingual and information-fragmented. Putting the newsroom behind a paywall would re-create the silo problem Belgium Impulse was built to solve. The reader who needs the French press, the Flemish press AND the international wire on a Belgian story is exactly the reader we serve — and they are not going to subscribe to four outlets to triangulate.

How we stay independent

Mixed revenue. Editorial firewall.

Reader support, transparent sponsorship, featured listings on /jobs and /dining, and a small ad inventory — across many streams, none of them load-bearing. Sponsored content is clearly labelled, never editorial, and subject to the same publishing checks as our reporting. The editorial policy and source transparency pages document this in full.

Supporter billing is handled by Stripe Checkout. Partner pricing is set per engagement and confirmed before any invoice is issued. Questions: [email protected].
