Cookie preferences

Your data. Your call.

Belgium Impulse runs on the smallest set of cookies that lets the site work and the newsroom measure what readers actually read. The three categories below are opt-in — nothing beyond the strictly necessary set loads until you grant it.

Strictly necessary

Always on

Keeps the site working. Session, language preference, cookie-consent record. Cannot be turned off.

Examples:session token · selected locale (en/fr/nl/es) · cookie-consent record itself · CSRF token

Analytics

Lets us see which articles readers actually read, where readers come from, and which translations land. Aggregated, never sold.

Examples:page-view counter · anonymous session length · referrer category · article-finish rate

Advertising

Allows AdSense and sponsored-content tracking. Off by default until you grant. Sponsored content runs without these cookies; this only affects measurement.

Examples:Google AdSense · sponsor-impression counter · sponsor-click attribution

Preferences are stored in your browser’s local storage under bp-cookie-prefs and never leave your device. Read more in the privacy policy. Updating preferences here updates them for every Belgium Impulse surface the next time you load a page.
