Five years after the July 2021 floods that devastated the Vesdre and Meuse valleys, the city and province of Liège are shifting from reconstruction to long-term adaptation, with local authorities framing the anniversary around flood-risk mapping, river-basin management and how the territory should be rebuilt for a wetter, more volatile climate.
