One injured and several detained after stabbing near Brussels-North Station

A person was injured with a bladed weapon near Brussels-North Station at about 14:20 on Tuesday, 18 August, and several suspects were detained, the Federal Police told BRUZZ, Het Nieuwsblad and The Brussels Times. Emergency workers treated the victim at the scene before taking them to hospital. Police have not disclosed the person’s identity, the severity of the injuries or a current medical condition.

The violence occurred on Rue d’Aerschot, immediately behind the station in Schaerbeek. According to the Federal Police account published by BRUZZ, several people were involved in the incident.
