It's not a destination for quiet dining; it's a place to people-watch, linger over a Trappist or wheat beer, and feel the rhythm of student-city life. The setting is genuinely historic, the crowd is genuinely mixed, and the food (burgers, frites, salads) is everyday sustenance, not the point. Best visited on a weekday late afternoon when the energy is social without being raucously packed, or on a summer evening if you don't mind shoulder-to-shoulder tables.
